Several manufacturer representatives were present; Bob MacGillivray of Hobart was answering customer questions, Aaron Taylor of Taylor Agencies was representing their multiple lines, as well as Mike Flanagan of Flanagan Agencies (pictured above) who provided information sessions about True food equipment. Â Mike Soppa of Rubbermaid Commercial was demonstrating products all day, including the Pulse, and Paul LeClerc of Serve Canada was demonstrating a Stoelting ice cream machine, which was extremely popular as he handed out free ice cream to customers!
Nicole Simensen of Vision Food Systems and Rational Certified Chef, Marcel Ogon, were cooking live with Rational’s Whiteefficiency SelfCookingCenter throughout the day, which was a big draw and of particular interest to local colleges. Â The various foods cooked were served throughout the day as was, wine, cheese and hors d’oeuvres (the chocolate dipped strawberries were a huge hit!).
In-house specials were offered on many items including oven mitts, coolers, and a Karcher pressure washer. Â Manufacturer representatives were also offering extra purchasing incentives.
Manufacturers, and representing agencies, donated many items to be offered as door prizes including a Vitamex blender from Chesher, a $100 Home Depot Gift Card from Copperfield Agencies, a Rubbermaid Pulse, a 7 piece stainless steel pot and pan set from Vollrath, a toaster from Rabco, a Kilotec food scale, a jacket and hat from Moyerdiebel, a Proctor Gamble toaster from WD College, a $50 Costco gift card from Kruger, and a ’57 Chevy from Hobart (well, a miniature ’57 Chevy as well as some other collectible cars)!
Kelly MacNeil, manager of Big Erics Moncton says he is “extremely overwhelmed with the success of the day! Â I was happy and surprised to see so many great existing and new customers attend our open house!”
